Depending on the product and the nature of the issue, we'll direct you to one of the following services:
- A third-party repair partner specializing in technical repairs
- A professional local to you who can fix most simple issues
- Our limited, in-house repair operation
Know that we are being mindful of costs and the time to repair when we recommend these services. The goal is to get your gear back in working order as quickly and effectively as possible.
Our repair partners offer best-in-class turnaround times and can often meet a 1-3 week timeline to repair your gear, but during the peak winter season this can extend to 6-8 weeks.
The purpose of repair is always to restore your gear back to first-quality condition, and function and integrity will be prioritized over appearance. While we do send our partners 686-specific trims, zippers, etc., they may not always be available and an equal, non-matching part may have to be used in its place. As a result, colors and materials may vary and contribute to the unique wear-story of your gear.
Don't forget that you must always wash your gear before sending it for repair. We and our partners do not accept dirty items, and any items in such condition will be sent back with the cost of return shipping billed to you.
Lastly, please note that if the cost of the repair exceeds a reasonable amount then an alternative solution will be offered instead.
